Bianca Holtschke is a graduate designer. She studied Integrated Design at the University of the Arts Bremen and the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, Netherlands. She has worked as a freelance graphic designer, typographer, and book designer. Currently, she is pursuing a doctorate in design theory. Her primary research interests include design theory, the philosophy of science, semiotics, and logic. She teaches design theory at the University of the Arts Bremen. Her essay "Können Bilder falsch sein?" was recently published in Piktogrammatik: Grafisches Gestalten als Weltwissen und Bilderordnung, edited with Annette Geiger (transcript, 2021).
